Crawford County Special Olympics relies on the contributions of generous people like you!

Crawford County Special Olympics is a locally funded organization, receiving support only from the businesses, community organizations and residents of Crawford County. Contrary to popular belief, Special Olympics is not a federally funded organization. Special Olympics was created through the Joseph P. Kennedy, Jr. Foundation, but it receives no financial support from that institution. Crawford County Special Olympics relies entirely on donations of time and money to operate. We raise the necessary funds through individual and corporate support, charitable foundations, fundraising, and other special events. The annual costs of running the programs include providing equipment, uniforms, meals, housing, and athletic facilities for our athletes and coaches during training and at local, county and state-level events. Without financial assistance, none of this would be possible.

Special Olympics athletes participate at no cost to themselves or their families.

When you purchase Calista Cares crafts to benefit Crawford County Special Olympics, you are making a difference in the lives of our area athletes! Special Olympics programs help athletes do better at school, home, work or in the community. Athletes develop their self-esteem to overcome a variety of life's challenges. The money Calista raises will be used to help local athletes continue to participate in sports trainings and compete in regional, state and national competitions.

Please support Calista's project and make a difference in the lives of area athletes!
